If you are looking for a self catering holiday cottage in the
beautiful South Hams region of South Devon, we can also offer to rent,
through Helpful Holidays, two delightful cottages.
The place - Kingston:
remarkably off-the-beaten-track little village (good
pub, church) with lots of pretty houses, a mile from the River
Erme’s beautiful wooded estuary and good sandy Wonwell beach.
St Ann’s Chapel (PO/shop), 1 mile. More fine sandy beaches and
golf at
Bigbury-on-Sea/Burgh Island, 4 miles; for shops, pretty Modbury,
3½ miles.
The cottages -
Two marvellously pretty 18th cent. or earlier
semi-detached cottages with communal terrace, but each with own entrance
and enclosed private garden. Both are south-facing, partly slate-hung, and
200 yards from the good pub. Both gardens are delightful, unusual, with
many interesting plants and Kingston’s last remaining donkey house (no
donkey now)
